Pilot Kakuno Fountain Pen | Clear Green

The Clear Green Kakuno is a fresh translucent green, somewhere between a glass bottle and a new leaf. The tint is light enough that you can still see your ink level at a glance.

It's still the Kakuno: lightweight, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with a hexagonal grip that guides your fingers to the right spot and a little smiling face stamped into the nib so you always know which way is up. Reliable ink flow, smooth writing, no learning curve.

Which nib size should I choose?

Fine is the everyday answer — it's the size most people reach for and it suits almost any paper. Choose Medium if you like a fuller, wetter line, or if you want ink shading to really show off. Remember Japanese nibs run about one size finer than Western, so a Pilot Medium is closer to a Western Fine.

Can I use bottled ink?

Absolutely. A Pilot CON-40 or CON-70 converter drops into the grip section in place of the cartridge and lets you fill from any bottle you like (converter sold separately). Is it good for younger writers?
