By placing an order with MT2 on Paper, you agree to the terms of this return policy.
MT2 on Paper — Returns & Exchanges
We carefully curate every item we carry and inspect orders before they leave our studio. Our goal is for you to feel confident in what you choose and delighted when it arrives. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help with clear guidelines that protect both you and the integrity of our products.
Return Window
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
Items must be:
- unused
- in new condition
- returned with all original packaging, inserts, and protective materials
All returns are inspected upon receipt.
Items Not Eligible for Return
Because of the nature of stationery and writing tools, certain items cannot be accepted once opened or used.
Fountain Pens
- Pens that have been dipped, inked, flushed, written with, or show any signs of use are not eligible for return.
- Pens returned without original packaging will not be accepted.
- If your fountain pen has been inked and you believe there is a defect, please contact us. We will review on a case-by-case basis and may direct you to the manufacturer warranty when appropriate.
Ink
- Opened ink bottles are not eligible for return unless defective or damaged in transit.
Paper Products
- Notebooks, refills, and paper goods with opened, torn, or damaged packaging are not eligible for return.
- Paper that shows bending, marking, or handling wear cannot be returned.
Brass & Metal Goods
- Items showing patina, wear, or handling marks after opening are not eligible for return.
Personalized or Custom Items
- Embossed, stamped, foil-pressed, sticker-applied, custom stickers or otherwise customized items are final sale.
Special-Order / High-Value Items
- Limited editions, bespoke items, and special-order products are final sale and not eligible for return.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 5 days of delivery at MT2onPaper@gmail.com with:
- your order number
- clear photos of the item and packaging
Once confirmed, we will arrange a replacement, refund, or manufacturer warranty support as appropriate.
How to Start a Return
To request a return:
- Email Support@MT2onPaper.com with your order number and reason for return.
- Wait for approval and return instructions before mailing the item.
- Ship the item back using the provided instructions.
Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.
Return Shipping
$7.50 flat rate return shipping
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit until they are received and inspected by our returns department.
Condition of Returns
Items returned as “new” that show signs of use, wear, damage, or missing packaging may be refused and returned to sender at the customer’s expense.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected:
- Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Please allow 5–10 business days for processing
Items that do not meet return conditions will be returned to sender.
Exchanges
If you would like a different item, we recommend placing a new order and initiating a return for the original item to ensure availability.
Manufacturer Warranties
Many writing instruments are covered by manufacturer warranties.
After 30 days, we may direct you to the manufacturer for warranty service when applicable.
Our Philosophy
Stationery is personal. Writing tools and paper are meant to be experienced, but they also require care to remain in resellable condition. This policy allows us to maintain quality, protect inventory, and continue offering thoughtfully selected goods.
