Our story
MT2 on paper began with a simple gift: a fountain pen. That introduction led to a deeper appreciation for the role materials play in everyday use. I quickly learned that paper matters, that quality, weight, and finish shape the experience as much as the tool itself. As my interest grew, I began collecting finely made leather journal covers from around the world and exploring fountain pens, drawn to the subtle differences in design, balance, and performance. Along the way, I discovered a new generation of thoughtfully produced accessories, far removed from the novelty items of the past. This curiosity took me into stationery stores across the East Coast, where I found well-designed, functional objects that felt both useful and quietly considered. What stood out most was the effect these items had: they introduced calm, encouraged focus, and created space to slow down and be intentional.MT2 on paper reflects that approach, an ongoing exploration of well-made products, selected with care and meant to be used.
