The Sea Glass Estie is a full-size fountain pen from Esterbrook's Estie collection, made from a soft blue-green (seafoam) marbled acrylic and finished with palladium trim and a polished stainless steel JoWo nib.

It's named for exactly what it looks like — beach glass tumbled smooth by the ocean. The seafoam acrylic has a quiet, calming depth that shifts between blue and green as it catches the light, and the palladium trim — silver-toned rather than warm — keeps the whole pen in the same cool family. The cushion closure inner cap keeps the ink wet and your pen ready to write anytime, reducing dry-out and promoting smooth ink flow. The pen fills with a standard international cartridge or converter, and both are included in the box.

Nib options

Every Estie takes Esterbrook's German-made #6 JoWo steel nib, offered in seven sizes:

The flex nibs have softer tines that widen the line slightly under pressure. The 1.1 stub has a flat-ground tip that lays down broad downstrokes and thin cross-strokes, which gives ordinary handwriting some character. For help choosing, read our Esterbrook Nib Guide.
