The Robinson Crusoe Preface Fountain Pen is No. 011 in Wearingeul's Preface Series, a turquoise fountain pen in marbled blue and yellow-green cellulose acetate, supplied with both a fine and a medium stainless steel nib.

Wearingeul designed the pen as a companion to its Robinson Crusoe ink, and the swirled acetate reproduces that ink's separation of green and blue, evoking the sea and forest surrounding Defoe's castaway, who spends twenty-eight years on his island. A metal ring joins the section to the barrel, and the pen arrives with a converter already installed, ready to fill from a bottle. Because each pen is cut from marbled acetate, the pattern varies slightly from one to the next. Come take a closer look.
