Sheaffer Legacy Fountain Pen | Black & Chrome with Gold Trim
The Sheaffer Legacy 9065 is a glossy black lacquer fountain pen with a polished chrome cap and 14K gold PVD trim, built around Sheaffer's inlaid nib.
In 1959, Sheaffer built the PFM with its nib set flush into the section instead of projecting out of it — a flat triangle with the grip wrapped around it. The inlaid nib has been Sheaffer's signature ever since, and it's still the shape people recognize a Sheaffer by.
The nib is stainless steel under 14K gold PVD plating, the same plating used on the cap band, the clip and the trim rings, so the gold reads the same across the whole pen.
It's a substantial pen — 44 grams, 138mm closed and 150mm posted, with a 12.6mm barrel. It fills from a cartridge or from the Sheaffer converter that comes fitted in the pen.
Sheaffer packs it with a leather pouch, two cartridges in black and blue, and a cleaning cloth.
