to-ro is a 15ml bottled fountain pen ink from Pilot's Iroshizuku line — a golden amber orange named for a path lit by lanterns.

燈路 means lantern road: the row of paper lanterns that lights a walkway at night, and the warm pool each one throws on the ground. In the bottle it reads red. On paper it's amber — a true gold-leaning orange that sits on the yellow side of fuyu-gaki, which pulls toward red. It shows off in a wet, broad nib where it can pool into a deeper burnt orange. A fine nib will run light, so give this one some ink to work with.
