A Taxidermied Genius is a 30ml bottled fountain pen ink from Wearingeul's Korean Literature collection — a wine violet with an unusual green sheen, drawn from Yi Sang's 1936 story The Wings.

The title comes from the story's famous opening line about a genius preserved like a specimen, and the color carries that same tension: a rich, alive violet with something metallic and still sitting on top of it. Yi Sang wrote at the edge of what 1930s colonial Seoul would allow, and this is one of the most distinctive colors in Wearingeul's whole catalog because of him.
